Letter Campaign
Welcome, and thank you for joining our letter writing campaign to advocate for much needed change in Pennsylvania’s cyber charter school funding formula. As members of a community that values public education and responsible budgeting, we need to ensure that every dollar directly supports our students. At a time when the West Shore School District is budgeting $10 million for cyber charter tuition for the 2025-26 school year, we need our legislators to fix this deeply-flawed funding model that places an unfair burden on local taxpayers to cover increases.
This campaign leads up to Public Education Advocacy Day on Tuesday, May 13th, where advocates across the Commonwealth will come together to call for real solutions for public education. By adding your voice now, you’re helping build momentum and sending a clear message- fix the formula now and prioritize public education for West Shore’s students.
To participate, select the PDF for your state senator and state representative below. Add your personal information, and be sure to sign and include your municipality. If you’re unsure, find your legislators here.
Then, choose one of these methods to deliver your message:
-
Send your letter via email to the appropriate senator/state legislator
-
Print it out and send via standard US mail
-
I can hand deliver it when I visit the Capitol on May 13th.
To make the most impact, act before May 13, 2025. Thanks for standing up for our schools!
